The Opal Partners team has over 25 years of experience in investment and asset management of real estate in Europe.


The team has invested and advised in excess of $2 billion globally on behalf of international clients based in the Middle East, UK and Europe.

MOUNIR DARUGAR

Director

Mounir is a Director of Opal Partners and a member of the Management Board.

Prior to founding Opal, Mounir was a Vice-President at Iverson Capital, a Pan-European real estate investment manager in London, leading the investment team and the firm's capital raising, and originating and executing real estate acquisitions in the UK, Germany and France.

Before Iverson, Mounir was a senior real estate investment professional at Aprirose, a UK real estate investment manager in London, where he worked on office, logistics and hotel acquisitions in the UK.

Prior to that, Mounir was an Investment Manager at Virgin Management, Richard Branson's investment office in London, where he worked on growth equity investments in real estate, transport and telecoms, with board observer roles on Virgin portfolio companies.

Prior to Virgin Management, Mounir worked as an Associate at Arcapita Bank in London, where he worked on real estate transactions in Europe and asset managed a €1.3Bn Pan-European logistics portfolio.

Mounir started his career at Trimont Advisors, the asset management arm of Lehman Brothers Real Estate Private Equity funds. 

Mounir received an MSc in Engineering from Telecom Sud Paris in France.

CHARLIE NAIRN

Director

Charlie is a Director of Opal Partners and a member of the Management Board. 


Prior to founding Opal, Charlie was a Senior Associate at Iverson Capital, a Pan-European real estate investment manager in London, where he was a key member of the investment team, focused on the origination and execution of real estate acquisitions in the UK office and logistics sectors. Charlie was involved in the firm’s capital raising activities with private and institutional investors.


Before Iverson, Charlie was an Associate at Mansford, a European multi-strategy real estate private equity investment firm. Charlie worked on over £500M of transactions and undertook asset management across industrial, student accommodation, retail and leisure assets in the UK.


Charlie began his career at CBRE, where he worked in the EMEA Capital Markets team, advising on the acquisition and disposal of large retail assets and portfolios across multiple European jurisdictions.


Charlie received an MSc in Real Estate from Henley Business School at the University of Reading and an MA in Modern Languages from Trinity College, Dublin. Charlie is a member of the Urban Land Institute.
